OPEN TO ALL UKC GUN DOG BREEDS
This hunt is held under the rules of the Hunting Retriever Club, Inc. and United Kennel Club, Inc.
No Hunting Retriever may compete in 2 different categories per licensed hunt.

Each Dog is limited to one (1) Licensed Hunt.
12 dog entry limit per Handler.

Additional Fees

***Effective January 1, 2019 - Non-UKC registered dog fee is $5.****
-For each entry, add $5 for NON-UKC registered dogs. (you must provide the R#.)
- Add $5 for each Seasoned / Finished/ Upland entry of NON-HRC member owners.

$10 walkup fee will be charged the day of the hunt for all dogs not preregistered
$5 each entry for Non-UKC Registered Dogs (R# must be provided)
$5 each Seasoned/Finished entry for Non-HRC Member Owners

Started: Entries close on the 50th entry, per flight.
Seasoned: Entries close on the 30th entry, per flight.
Finished: Entries close on the 30th entry, per flight.
Upland: Entries close on the 30th entry, per flight.

Welcome Statement

FVRC welcomes you to our hunt. Check-in for ALL dogs in ALL categories is from 6:30am to 7:30am and is required each day of the hunt. For all female dogs, bitch checks will be required each morning during check-in. We will begin each test promptly at 8:00am. Owners/handlers not at the hunt site to receive their ribbon and pass slip must pay a $5 mailing charge if ribbon and point slip must be mailed. Remember gun safety and sportsmanship. Good luck and we hope you have a great weekend.

Additional Hunt Information

Clothing worn in retriever hunt tests must be full camouflage.
Upland Hunt Tests require Orange hat and vest to be worn.
Knee boots or waders might be needed
No hunting Retriever may compete in 2 different Categories per Licensed hunt
Duck calls may be used in events.

Scratches

Scratches prior to closing date will be refunded by HuntSecretary.com unless Club Scratch Policy below states otherwise.

 

After the closing date, all scratches will be handled based on the Club Scratch Policy specified below.

 

Club Scratch Policy

A full refund minus a $25 bird fee will be given for female dogs in heat and confirmed by a bitch check during the morning of the event check-in. If not confirmed, you will not receive a refund. A full refund minus a $20 bird fee will be given for injury, illness or death, when certified by a veterinarian. However, no action will be taken until the Hunt Test Secretary receives a written request including: dogs name, test(s) entered, whom to make the check payable to, address to mail refund, and written veterinarian excuse on clinic letterhead and signed by the veterinarian. No refunds will be considered if not to the Hunt Test Secretary within 5 days of the completion of the test. Refunds will not be given for no shows.
